Equality and Empowerment- Supporting Families
This project is delivered in partnership and funded by the Portuguese charity Associação Corações Com Coroa. It aims to support families experiencing challenging situations, reduce situations of social and family vulnerability, through the offer of a comprehensive support service. The project will run a range of workshops on Parenting, Citizenship and Budget Management, Counselling and One to One Support.
October 2017 to July 2021
This project is a three years project, consisting of 14 workshops per year and includes Music and Art Therapy, moral and practical support. The project is funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). It run on Saturdays and aims to empower and support Lusophone women.
Music and Art Therapy helps to solve relationship difficulties, develop assertiveness skills and increase confidence, self-esteem, psychological, emotional, physical and mental well-being. This project is delivered in partnership with Lambeth Music Therapy.

The Strengthening Families Project is a series of workshops, aiming to empower women through strategies that can be used in all areas of life. Workshops are informal and relaxed, starting with lunch, group discussion and activities. The benefits of attending these workshops include finding out about sources of support, learning from each other, build strategies to deal with life or family challenges.
